Day 7 - April 1 - Osaka Aquarium (Kaiyukan)

We took today to go check out the aquarium. Crystal majored in marine biology so that explains her interest. Caia is 7 years old, and that explains hers :) Daddy just tagged along for the experience.

One of the highlights of the aquarium was to be able to actually touch a stingray (not the tail of course) and some small sharks swimming in the shallow water.

The Osaka aquarium is the largest in Asia and is quite impressive.

On our way home, we stopped in Namba, one of the main shopping areas in Osaka, and, no surprise, it was as busy as ever. Some things had changed since we were last here, but many things have remained the same.

We are constantly reminded of the spiritual need here in Japan as we see people busy to get to their destination, and yet we are conscious that spiritually, they are unprepared for their ultimate destination. Please pray with us for the many opportunities that present themselves daily to testify to Japanese of the Creator and His Son, Jesus Christ, who came to be their Saviour from sin.

Before heading to the aquarium, Aaron was able to meet with David to discuss some ways in which he might be able to help design a letterhead that will work with new windowed envelopes that will save the mission about 50% on the cost of the current envelopes they have printed in the USA, plus it will also save logistically in that the envelopes won't have to be brought or shipped from the USA.

I'm hoping to be able to design something that will be effective and will also keep the look and feel of Japan Mission correspondence consistent with what people have come to expect.

Waiting to buy a train ticket

Caia waits at the subway platform (Japanese style)

What shall we have for dinner?

Wait a minute - don't I know those ninjas?
